Anna has had a massive year, with highlights including touring North America and Europe, official showcases at NXNE (Canada), Folk Alliance International (USA) and Live at Heart (Sweden) and recording a new EP in Nashville with award-winning producer Jake Finch (Lucy Dacus).
Her most recent release, a collection of long-distance love songs that sits somewhere in the sonic realm between Sharon Van Etten, Angel Olsen and Middle Kids, cemented her reputation as ‘a significant songwriter with an exceptional voice’ (Backseat Mafia UK). Singles from the EP have been added to rotation on Double J and MTV and described as ‘soul-stirring’ by Triple J.
With her all-star band- Alex Burkoy (Tinpan Orange), Holly Thomas (Quivers, Husky, Freya Josephine Hollick) and Loz Irwin Ray (Belly Savalas)- Anna has toured widely throughout Australia and this summer will see her gracing stages at Port Fairy Folk Festival and Woodford Folk Festival.
Anna has honed her songwriting craft with some of the finest, including Ainslie Wills and Alice Ivy. She was recently completed the Women in Music mentoring program run by the Australian Independent Records Association, where she received mentoring from industry powerhouse Mardi Caught.
When she's not touring, Anna works as a consultant for the World Health Organization, a job which has seen her living and working in places like Cambodia, the Solomon Islands and the Philippines. She’s currently juggling releasing new music with supporting the COVID-19 vaccine roll out in Papua New Guinea. With a life shared between places, it’s no wonder many of her songs are about long-distance love, loneliness and trying to connect.
